Bryant Street NE, a community located in the Edgewood neighborhood of the District, will hold its first Juneteenth celebration on the actual holiday, June 19, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The event will be held in partnership with the D.C. Parks and Recreation Department and DCFIT program. This year, Juneteenth in the city has expanded to offer a four-hour street festival with live entertainment, community partners, local and Black-owned businesses and more.

The festivities will take place at 680 Rhode Island Avenue NE. The morning activities consist of a yoga session and a bodyweight class.

The street festival portion begins at noon with Batala Washington Drumline, followed by performances by the Side-By-Side Go-Go Band, DJ FrankyJ and AFROBEATS Dance with Jovan. Food trucks scheduled to appear include Jaliyaa Coffee, Lattimore Funnel Cakes, Dogs on the Curb and Who Want Smoke Chargrilled Oysters.

There will also be a number of pop-up vendors.
