Bowie State University celebrated its 160th anniversary with the largest number of particular graduates, including 34 newly minted doctors, and was inspired by U.S. Sen. Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.) who spoke about the power of perseverance and resilience despite obstacles and the importance of education in changing the world.
